Korĉula is an island with twenty five centuries of tradition. Most of the houses, structures, streets and fortifications of the old town of Korĉula were built in stone sometime between XII-XV centuries. Throughtout the centuries the island was under Austrian, Italian, Greek and Croatian influence, which created a unique culture rich with tradition and customs. Local coffee shops and restaurants await with aromatic and strong esspresso, delicious pizzas and pasta, and most importantly regional flavors – cheeses, hams, olives, fruits and vegetables, sea food and fish.
